About Huachuca Agave

The mountains of the south east Arizona are often referred to as "Sky Islands". This is because each mountain range is usually surrounded by a "sea" of grasslands. As a result, the biodiversity of each mountain range is distinct, yet similar to neighboring mountain ranges. The Huachuca Mountains are home to the agave Agave parryi var. huachucensis
